• Less Likely to Burn: Because of how dab pens are designed, there’s less risk of burning the flower since you’re not using a torch which can introduce human error into the equation.

• Smoother Dab Hits: Most people find that using a dab pen creates smoother hits that are less likely to make the user cough.

Cons:

• Messier: Dabbing with a rig is a messier process, and oil splatters are common.
• Hard to Travel with: Of course, a rig is a large glass pipe that can be a struggle to travel with, since it’s both delicate and bulky.
• Easier to Burn: With a rig that’s heated using a torch, you’re at a higher risk of burning your concentrates by failing to wait long enough for the nail to cool before applying your dabs.
